Steps to measuring your windows.
1/ Choose if you would like to your curtains to be recess fit or face fit.
- Recess = inside the frame, curtains or blinds installed inside window frame.
- Face it = outside the frame, curtains or blinds installed on or above the window frame.
2/ How to measure for a recess fit:
- Measure the width of your window at 3 points to ensure your window is square. If uneven choose the narrowest measurement.
- Measure the height of the window at 3 points to ensure your window is square. If uneven choose the shortest measurement.
- Check that handles and locks will not be in the way of blinds / curtains.
3/ How to measure for a face fit:
- Measure the width of the window from one side of the architrave to the other side of the architrave.
- Measure the height of the window from the top architrave edge to the floor or bottom of the window sill.
Tip: measure in millimeters (mm) to ensure accurate measurements.
